A past transgression resulted in a driver gaining a court date while losing a vehicle.
On Sept. 18, a Sicamous RCMP member observed a half-ton pickup truck towing an RV on Highway 1 and conducted a traffic stop to check for a valid licence and the sobriety of the driver.
"The driver was found to be prohibited from driving as a result of a previous 90-day prohibition for driving under the influence of alcohol," Sgt. Murray McNeil said in a media release. "The officer issued the driver a court date for a charge of prohibited driving."
The truck was impounded for 30 days and the RV was towed from the scene by another vehicle.
