A Salmon Arm thief has a future court date after being in the wrong place at the wrong time with the stolen goods.
While dealing with an unrelated matter at Narcisse Street NW on Aug. 27, RCMP officers noticed a man known to police riding a $2,500 bicycle that had been reported stolen the previous day. They arrested the 44-year-old man for possession of property obtained by crime, and the bike was "returned to a happy owner," Const. Andrew Hodges said in a media release.
Charges have been approved against Matthew Howard, who is awaiting his Nov. 5 court date for first appearance.
