A man who took the term 'kicking tires' too literally is now facing charges of mischief.
The Salmon Arm RCMP received a report of a man yelling and kicking vehicles in a parking lot in the 300 block of the Trans-Canada Highway on June 11 at around 11 a.m. A second caller corroborated that, saying they had seen the man stomp the hood of a parked vehicle and had taken a few photos and a short video.
"Police attended and were unable to locate the man after making patrols in the area, but were able to identify him from the photos and video provided by the second caller," said Const. Andrew Hodges.
Officers located the man the following day, June 12, and arrested him for mischief but later released him with a future court date to speak to the allegations.
Under the Criminal Code, a charge of mischief includes destroying or damaging property, or rendering it useless or inoperative.
