Salmon Arm RCMP once again removed a couple of prohibited drivers from the road.
The first incident occurred on April 3, when patrolling officers queried a silver Acura MDX and found the registered owner prohibited from driving.
鈥淭he member conducted a traffic stop and confirmed the registered owner was driving the vehicle, and unable to produce a valid driver鈥檚 licence,鈥 Const. Andrew Hodges said in an April 20 media release.
The SUV was impounded for seven days, and the driver served with future court appearance for driving while prohibited under section 95 of the motor-vehicle act.
On April 15 at 1 p.m., police stopped a black BMW 3 series after learning the registered owner not only didn鈥檛 have a valid licence, but also a 鈥渨arrant for his arrest for a previous incident of driving while prohibited,鈥 Hodges said in the release.
After confirming the driver was the owner, the officer conducted two breath demands, both of which resulted in a 鈥渨arn鈥 reading. The driver was served a three-day driving prohibition and a three-day impound of the vehicle.
鈥淭he man was also served a violation ticket for no driver鈥檚 licence, and also arrested for the warrant,鈥 Hodges added.
