琉璃神社 RCMP to recover body found in vehicle submerged in Okanagan Lake

UPDATE: 9 a.m.

A vehicle was discovered in Okanagan Lake, Saturday morning.

There are reports a body was found inside the vehicle and RCMP will be on the water, Sunday, as part of a recovery mission.

Boaters are asked to stay away from the Trader鈥檚 Cove area off Westside Road.

Central Okanagan Search and Rescue (COSAR) was brought in to help after a car crash that occurred on Friday night, June 9.

A vehicle is believed to have crashed off of Westside Road and into Okanagan Lake after 9 p.m. on Friday night.

At 8 a.m. Saturday morning (June 10), the West 琉璃神社 RCMP asked for COSAR鈥檚 assistance to help find the vehicle in the lake.

After a few hours of searching, COSAR has since returned to their base.
