A Chase hunter became the hunted after search and rescue was called out to find and rescue the man.
At 11:30 a.m. on Oct. 15, the Chase RCMP received a call from a hunter who reported that his hunting buddy had gone down into a ravine and became trapped.
"The hunter was uninjured, however, he could not climb out," Const. Sarah Van Wilgenburg said in a media release, adding that officers contracted search and rescue for assistance.
Teams deployed from both the Kamloops and Shuswap Search and Rescue organizations, with all agencies working together to rescue the hunter.
In post to Facebook, Shuswap SAR said the rope rescue call was "a great co-team effort and our subject was very grateful for the assistance."
"The operation was hindered by slippery footing and wet weather but was ultimately successful."
