Who you gonna call? Chase RCMP after officers doubled as ghost busters during a spooky incident in late July.

At 8:17 p.m. on July 21, the detachment received a 911 call from an eight-year-old boy who told the dispatcher that he was home alone while his grandma was at bingo, and there was a ghost in the house. Officers attended and, after discussing the matter with the boy, it was decided they should search the residence.

"Marshalling their fears, police entered the house with the child in the lead," Const. Sarah Van Wilgenburg said in a media release. "No ghosts were located."

The attending members determined that due to a miscommunication, the boy had been unintentionally left home alone. With all ghosts busted, the child "entertained police with his trampoline skills" until a guardian arrived.
