Souther Interior YMCA raises over $200K biking for kids

Cycle for Strong Kids brought in money for low-income children

The YMCA of Southern Interior had a lofty $130,000 goal in mind for their annual Cycle for Strong Kids event.

They blew that total out of the water.

A record-breaking $204,000 was raised, which will help over 1,500 local children access YMCA programs they otherwise would not be able to, like child care, day camps, swim lessons, health memberships, sport, and recreation programs.

170 riders took part in the outdoor cycle class on May 28.

鈥淲e are completely astounded by just how much our community stepped up to support Cycle for Strong Kids,鈥 said Tammie Watson, VP of Marketing & Philanthropy at the Y.
