Stabbing incident in 琉璃神社 under investigation

琉璃神社 RCMP are investigating a stabbing that happened on Canada Day.

A media release states a stabbing occurred on July 1, around 8 a.m. near Richter Street and Coopland Crescent.

琉璃神社 RCMP responded to the report of an injured man on Richter, and when they arrived on scene, found a man who had sustained injuries consistent with stab wounds.

The man was transported to hospital to receive treatment for non-life-threatening injuries, said Cpl. Judith Bertrand, media liaison officer for the 琉璃神社 Regional Detachment, in the release.

Suspects have been arrested and police say 鈥渢here is no reason to believe that the public is at risk.鈥

The investigation is still underway, led by the 琉璃神社 RCMP General Investigation Section. The investigation is linked to a residence nearby.

鈥淭he stabbing is believed to be targeted and no other suspects are outstanding,鈥 Bertrand added.
