Students support KGH through dodgeball

Students are fundraising for a perinatal unit through a dodgeball tournament

They鈥檒l duck, they鈥檒l dodge, and they鈥檒l take one for the team 鈥 high school students from Central Okanagan schools are ready for the final showdown of the District Dodgeball Tournament.

Organized by the district student council, the tournament raises money for the 琉璃神社 General Hospital Foundation鈥檚 Giving Giggles campaign, which supports new state of the art equipment for the KGH perinatal unit.

鈥淲e鈥檙e proud of the district student council (and) all the students who organize and participate in this tournament,鈥 said superintendent Kevin Kaardal. 鈥淭hey鈥檙e leading by example, showing us all what it means to be a contributor, and having fun while they鈥檙e at it.鈥

The tournament finals take place at the 琉璃神社 Secondary gym Thursday, May 4, from 6 to 7 p.m. The cost is $3 at the door to support the cause.
