A two-year-old girl has died in New Westminster after what police are calling a suspected drowning.
Police were called to the 300 block of Stanley Street Wednesday night at about 11 p.m. The child was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.
鈥淲e鈥檝e given the family all the support that we have available to help manage this tragic time in their life,鈥� Serg. Jeff Scott said in a press release.
Police and BC Coroner Service are currently investigating. The cause of death has not been determined and 鈥渁t this point, foul play is not suspected.鈥�
