Central Okanagan Search and Rescue helped a woman visiting from out of town on Monday, July 10.
Around 4 p.m., the mountain biker from Quebec lost her balance close to Trestle 6 on the Kettle Valley Railway and sustained both upper and lower body injuries.
COSAR鈥檚 e-bike team was dispatched to the scene and medics performed first aid as they waited for COSAR鈥檚 UTV (utility terrain vehicle) team to arrive.
The woman was moved successfully to the waiting ambulance and was transported to 琉璃神社 General Hospital.
鈥淚鈥檇 like to thank the Myra Canyon Bike Rental first aid attendant for doing a fantastic job of stabilizing the subject,鈥 said search manager Duane Tresnich. 鈥淗e did a great job, as did the subject鈥檚 partner who handled communications to the rescue team.鈥
