Truck crashes into Skaha Lake bridge guardrail in Penticton

There were no injuries as a result of the single-vehicle crash

A pick-up truck travelling at a high rate of speed collided with a Highway 97 guardrail in Penticton on Thursday night, Aug. 8.

At around 11 p.m., RCMP and emergency crews were called to a single-vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway 97 and Channel Parkway.

The truck failed to navigate the turn at the intersection before colliding with the Skaha Lake bridge guardrail, according to police.

No passengers of the truck were injured. Neither were any pedestrians, RCMP added.

Police say they continuing to investigate the collision.

Anyone who witnesses the incident is asked to contact the Penticton RCMP at 250-492-4300.
