A vehicle and its driver that crashed into Okanagan Lake on June 10 has yet to be recovered from the water.

It’s believed the vehicle left Westside Road near Trader’s Cove, the night before, crashing into the lake.

Central Okanagan Search and Rescue were able to locate the vehicle and its driver in the lake, but ÁðÁ§ÉñÉç RCMP have said the conditions of the area pose a challenge.

The recovery has not been able to take place due to the depth of the water at the location the car was found and the number of personnel needed to recover the car and body safely.

An update from investigators is expected later this week.

The driver has been identified online as Laticia Watson, the chef at Sprout in ÁðÁ§ÉñÉç.
