West 琉璃神社 couple robbed of everything in Mexico

A dream life on the road was turned upside down last week for a West 琉璃神社 couple.

Lyndsay Fillier and Braden Taylor were camping in their van in Mexico last week, when they were accosted by armed robbers.

鈥淪ome men pulled up in stolen vehicles, heavily armed and with bullet-proof vests,鈥 said Fillier in an Instagram post.

鈥淭hey took everything we own.鈥

The robbers took off in Fillier and Taylor鈥檚 van.

鈥淟iterally everything we own in the whole world was in that van.鈥

Fillier said that two police trucks took off 鈥渋n hot pursuit鈥. They later discovered that four of the officers involved were injured, and one was killed.

鈥淲e feel very fortunate that we are still alive鈥ut we are of course devastated.鈥
