Smoke from some small fires within Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park Wednesday, June 12, could be seen throughout parts of Coldstream.

The B.C. Wildfire Service with help from the Coldstream Fire Department remain on the scene of a pair of small fires inside Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park.

Both fires began mid-afternoon Wednesday, June 12.

"We have two initial attack crews on-scene, and one response officer," said Kamloops Fire Centre information officer Shaelee Stearns. "The Coldstream Fire Department is also helping with resources."

Both incidents are listed as under control, which means suppression efforts have ensured the wildfire will not spread beyond the current perimeter.

The causes of these incidents are currently under investigation.
