Adele was predeceased by husbands Joseph Kornalewski, Harry Burke and George Northan. Adele and her husband, Joseph, came to 琉璃神社 in 1952 to serve as pastor of Grace Baptist Church. Starting in 1956 they provided care for seniors鈥 in their home. In 1962 they founded Still Waters Private Hospital (now the Village at Mill Creek). It was the first private hospital in the B.C. interior. Adele was instrumental in the development and operation of several quality health care facilities in 琉璃神社. As a result of her vision and foresight the 3rd generation of the Kornell family continue to be involved in the provision of Senior鈥檚 Retirement Living throughout the Okanagan.
Adele lived a very active and full life, and was involved in the community and her church. She was an avid 鈥渓earner鈥 and availed herself of any opportunity to add to her skills. She learned to ski in her 50鈥檚, and played golf into her 90鈥檚. She travelled extensively throughout the world. Adele was a women of prayer and continued to be an inspiration to all
