Deans, Alfred Nicholl (Scotty)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Scotty Deans on February 20, 2017 with his family at his side. He was born in Aberdeen Scotland where he later met his wife Karen. They returned to Canada in 1972 and after living in Ocean Falls for several years they made their home in Armstrong for the next 35 years.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Karen to whom he was married for 46 years, his two sons Alfie and Andrew, his Daughter Jennifer (Jay), his grandchildren Joshua, Jordyn, Paige and Trace.

He will also be remembered by his family in Scotland, including his brothers Peter (Joan), George (Brenda), Charles (Kathleen), and Allistair, as well as his numerous nieces and nephews.

His family was the most important thing to him and he made sure every day that we all knew that. His passing will be felt deeply by those who knew him.

The family would like to thank all the staff in the Vernon Jubilee Hospital ICU department for all their support and compassion. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family at: www.MyAlternatives.ca.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Scotty鈥檚 name to: Kindale Community Building (PO Box 94, Armstrong,
