November 16, 1944 - April 9, 2021
With great sorrow and broken hearts our family announce the passing of Ann Zoobkoff.
Ann Zoobkoff was born on the sixteenth day of November 1944 in Nelson, British Columbia to Alex and Mary Popoff. Ann grew up in the Kootenays, Winlaw, BC. There she met and married her first husband Fred Podov. Ann and Fred resided in Calgary, Alberta where they raised two children, daughter Cindy and son Kelly. In 1977 Ann and the children moved to ÁðÁ§ÉñÉç, BC
In ÁðÁ§ÉñÉç Ann worked at the Food Bank, in a book binding factory, and numerous years as a housekeeper for a couple local motels. Ann was very social...she loved to sing, dance, and be with people - enjoying life to the fullest. It was at that stage in her life when she met Bill Zoobkoff and they fell madly in love. Bill was the father of three children, Colin, Sandi and Jennifer... Ann and Bill married June 25, 1994 and became a happy family of seven.
Ann and Bill were inseparable, whether in the garden, in their small orchard, or fishing and camping with Ann's mom and dad. Another together passion was attending the various flavors of Elvis impersonator concerts with friends and family.
Sadly Ann lost Bill in August of 2013. Ann filled the void by taking care of their loving dogs Bibz and Tozer, and also with her passion for gardening, preserving food, baking, reading, (and a little bit of time at the casino with family).
Ann passed away at the age of 76 on April 9th, 2021 at her home in ÁðÁ§ÉñÉç, BC. Ann will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her beloved family:
