Basil (Baz) Philip Bradley - Passed away on the morning of November 16th after a long battle with prostate cancer, aged 81.
Baz was preceded by his wife of 51 years, Patricia Alice Bradley and his sister Sylvia Currie. He is survived by his family, Sue (Don), Brian (Thea), Steve (Jenny), six grandchildren and his extended family in Spruce Grove, Slocan and Regina.
Baz was born in Disley, Saskatchewan and spent his childhood in Regina, Vancouver and on the family farm. He graduated from Scott Collegiate in Regina and the Saskatchewan Technical Institute (STI) in Moose Jaw.
After working several years with Sask Power, he became an instructor in the Civil Technology program at STI. He taught there for many years until moving over the mountains to 琉璃神社, BC in 1978 and helped establish the Civil Technology program at Okanagan College.
He was well liked by his colleagues and his "Bazology 101" was a favorite among his students. Baz was a builder, adventurer, and storyteller. He liked nothing better than to sit with friends or family, have a rum and laugh and tell his many stories.
Baz had a curious mind, was an avid reader of books and magazines and had a keen interest in politics and history. He always looked forward to the Globe and Mail crossword. Regardless of where he travelled and lived Baz's heart and values were firmly rooted in his prairie upbringing.
Special acknowledgment and thanks go to Cousin Joanne, Evelyne, and especially to neighbors Herb and Nancy who went above and beyond with their support and companionship in his final year.
No funeral service will be held, instead pour yourself a drink and have a good reminisce.
