Catharina de Groot passed away peacefully on April 12 2020 at 90 years of age. Tina (Tiny) de Groot was born July 7, 1929 in Harenkarspel (N.H.) Holland. She is survived by her two sons, Frank (Michelle) of Leduc Alberta, and John (Barbara) of Cranbrook, B.C., four grandchildren, Michael (Stacy), Steven (Kate), Miranda and Adam, and her four great-grandchildren, Sophia, Lily, Alexander, Halle, and one sister-inlaw, Jo Kamper of St. Albert Alberta; as well as her sister Nel and extended family in Holland.
She will be fondly remembered for her unconditional love towards her family and friends, and for her kind and generous heart. She was also admired for her artistic talents, creating many beautiful paintings and other arts and crafts. Tina was truly a loving, patient, tenderhearted mother and Oma. As well she cherished her precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Words cannot express what a wonderful, compassionate and selfless soul she was to all. Her presence will be mournfully missed.
