August 16, 1930 - March 6, 2025
It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved father ("Pops"), Donald Richardson Ramsay, who left us March 6, 2025, at the age of 94, surrounded by his loving family. He was predeceased by his wife of 46 years, Shirley Mae Wagner.
He is survived by his four children, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and his wife Estelle, who will continue
to honour his legacy by living their lives with joy and laughter.
Don was born in Mannville, Alberta on August 16th, 1930, and grew up on the family farm where he enjoyed playing hockey and baseball. Don went on to serve in the Canadian Armed Forces, both as a veteran of the Korean War with The Navy, and then with the Canadian Air Force. Don also served as part of NATO Forces in Germany, then upon retiring from the military he settled in 琉璃神社, BC, where he had a second career with Copytron. His many interests included hockey, baseball, golf, reading, traveling and winning in cribbage with most that challenged him. Even in his later years, he never turned down a chance to compete in outdoor games at family gatherings. His playfulness, witty humour, soft smile and gentle manner will never be forgotten.
We love you, and will miss you "Pops"!
