EMSLIE, Dr. Robert Brian

Passed away peacefully at Hospice House in 琉璃神社 on March 3, 2017, surrounded by his family.  He was born November 5, 1923 in 琉璃神社, BC.  He was predeceased by his wife Mona, the mother of his sons, in 1983; sisters Gwen and Barbara.  He is survived by his wife June; two sons: Jim (Jennifer), Colin (Cyndi) and his grandchildren: Scott (Victoria), Geoff (Carmen), Sara (Josh), Greg (Chelsea), Chris (Meg), Graham (Lyanna) and Jamie; great grandchildren: Alida, Simon, Lewis, Olivia and Thea.  Bob served in the Navy during the Second World War.  He returned to 琉璃神社 to finish his education, then to UBC and ultimately to the University of Toronto to receive a degree in dentistry.  He set up his practice in 琉璃神社 and later became the Dental Health Consultant for the region.  Bob was a long-time member of the 琉璃神社 Golf and Country Club.  He had a love for music and belonged to the Barbershop Chorus, the Apple Tuneovers Quartet, as well as the Allegro Singers, Mask, Encore and then aptly named by Bob, 鈥淭ake Five,鈥� which was a challenge and a joy.  He will be missed.  A service to honour Bob鈥檚 life will be held in his church, St. Michael鈥檚 and All Angels Cathedral, 608 Sutherland Avenue, 琉璃神社, BC on Saturday, March 18th at 1:00 pm, conducted by the Very Rev.
