Edelone passed away at the age of 93 following a few years with Alzheimer Disease. She was lovingly supported at this time by her family. Born in Princeton, she grew up in several small towns in Alberta and Saskatchewan. She told of several memories of her life with father, Leslie, mother, Jane, and brother Arthur Arnold. After she had taken several courses in teaching, she started teaching in Banff, Alberta.
She moved to Edmonton and married her first husband, Colin Ball. Mom loved to travel and took part in many tours to England, Australia, Spain and Europe. Mom made several pieces of clothing for her children. She enjoyed cross country skiing, gardening, golf. She made jams and canned several fruits and baked her famous fruit cake.
She completed her Bachelor of Education in Edmonton, where she taught her favorite grade six class at several Edmonton schools. She loved driving and pulling holiday trailer. She retired at 55 years and moved to 琉璃神社.
She was predeceased by husband Colin. She is survived by her kids, Tom(Cheryl), Judy(Jay), brother Arthur(Katie); and grandkids, Aaron, Lucas and Josh.
We are grateful for the compassionate care at David Lloyd Jones Long Term Care home in 琉璃神社 and from Dr. Erasmus. Mom will be greatly missed by her family.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Diabetes Foundation of B.C. and to MS Society of Canada. Celebration of Life will be held at First Memorial 1211 Sutherland Avenue, 琉璃神社. Lunch after.
