Helen Aileen Stamp-Vincent

May 15, 2016

Helen A. Stamp-Vincent passed away peacefully in Kamloops, BC on May 15, 2016 at the age of 94. Lovingly remembered by sons, Brent Stamp- Vincent (Deidre) of Penticton, BC, Gordon Stamp-Vincent (Maatje) of Kamloops, BC, daughter in law, Catherine Stamp-Vincent, grandchildren, Fraser Stamp- Vincent (Sara), Catherine Border (Justin), Christopher Stamp-Vincent (Kathleen), Chelsea Stamp-Vincent and great-grandchildren, Carter, Davis, Lucas, Frances, Liam and Quinn, nieces and nephews, and dear friend of almost 90 years, Terri McColl of Calgary AB. Mom was predeceased by her son Robert (Bob) Stamp- Vincent in 1992. We would like to thank Dr. Hamilton and the staff of Kamloops Seniors Village for their kind and compassionate care for the past 2 years. She was so appreciative and as family it gave us great comfort knowing that in her final days she was surrounded by people that cared so deeply. Mom was born in Medicine Hat, AB in 1922, the 3rd of 5 children. She grew up in Magrath AB, married Fred Stamp- Vincent in 1946 and moved to Ocean Falls, BC. Brent was born in 1947, Bob in 1950 and Gordon in 1956. Other than a very short period in Port Alberni, Ocean Falls was home until the family moved to Castlegar in 1960. Mom moved to 琉璃神社 in 1994 taking great pride in her flower beds and enjoyed socializing with friends and neighbours. To Mike and Evelyn Caruk, you were truly special friends. Mom鈥檚 mobility began to suffer as she approached her 90th year. When Gordon and Maatje moved to Kamloops in 2013, Mom followed shortly after in the spring of 2014, finding a wonderful residence in Kamloops Seniors Village to live out her remaining days. A Celebration of a Life well lived will be held on Saturday July 30 2016 at 2:00pm at the Southwest Community Church 700 Hugh Allan Drive Kamloops BC, Pastor Shane Wiebe officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Messages of condolence may be sent to: gordonsv@telus.net or 2898 Squamish Court, Kamloops, BC V2E 2K9.
