Jacqueline Almond (nee Gray)
Jacqueline Almond passed away peacefully on January 12, 2017. Jacky was born in England and immigrated to 琉璃神社 in 1955 with the love of her life, Harry and 3 small daughters. Jacky was a stay-at-home Mum until she worked at Mosaic books when it first opened. Mom was a cross-word, puzzle and book aficionado and she loved helping people in the store. Once retired Jacky volunteered for 15 years with Public Health in the clinics where she adored "her babies". Mom was the biggest flirt and loved to dance and socialize. She listened to all sorts of music from the Beatles and Abba to musicals, symphonies and operas. Mom also loved gardening and the outdoors, fulfilling a life long dream on a back country horse trip late in life. Sadly missed by daughters Kay (Jacky), Lynne (Wayne, Skye (Paul &Logan), Sean), and Jill (Dawn, Charity (Jason), & Jordan (Claire, Caius & Finley). Mum was well cared for in the last 7 years of her life at Sun Pointe Village. She developed an amazing friendship with another resident, Maria, who didn't speak a word of English-a true testament to both their spirits. Special thanks to the care-givers of Reid's Corner, especially Neil who Mom could always make blush! Condolences may be sent to: www.everdenrust.com
