It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lionel Georges St Pierre on January 17, 2025, age 57, of 琉璃神社, BC. Lionel was a man of deep faith and is now with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Born on October 2, 1967 in Scarborough, Ontario, Lionel was the eldest of two sons. His family moved to Peachland in 1974, and in 1988, Lionel moved to Calgary, where he pursued his passion for bullfighting. He became a professional bullfighter and competed in Canada and the USA. He retired in 1996, but his love for adventure continued with passions for dirt biking, hunting, camping, and fishing.
In 1997, Lionel married the love of his life Doris, and their beautiful, love filled adventure began. From 1999-2007, Lionel and Doris welcomed their four beautiful children: Madison, Colton Austin and Izzy. Lionel loved being a father and cherished time spent together as a family.
In 1998, Lionel and his wife Doris moved to 琉璃神社 and opened Moolix. In 2019, they expanded with a second location, and Lionel began handcrafting each ice cream flavor. In 2023, downtown Moolix was sold and the business was rebranded to Gorgeous Georges, a new chapter in a legacy of dedication and creativity.
Lionel is survived by his loving wife, Doris, and their four children: Maddy (Trey), Colton (Zoe), Austin, and Izzy. He is also survived by his mother and father (Patricia and Henry St Pierre),his brother Jean Guy (Miya), his mother and father in-law (Ilse and Reinhold Stolle), sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, many nieces and nephews and extended family.
