Margaret Lois Bell "Lois", 93, of 琉璃神社, BC, formerly of Edmonton, AB, passed away on September 3, 2022, with family by her side.
Lois was a unique character, to say the least. She was full of fun, mischief, humour, and endless knowledge that never failed to provide her with the correct answer, faster than any contestant, over decades of faithfully watching Jeopardy. She was equally good at Trivia and crossword puzzles.
She developed a love of reading at a very early age, and she continued to expand her store of knowledge through her love of reading throughout her life. She became an accomplished artist in her retirement and left a wonderful legacy of beautiful oil paintings.
She also loved music, cars, big trucks, art, good food, cold beer, skiing, swearing, laughing, and most of all, she loved her children, her grandchildren, and her two sisters.
Lois was funny and she loved to laugh. Her favourite brand of humour was her witty, and rather "smart ass" remarks, that both shocked and delighted her audience. She was a loving mother, a devoted and loyal friend, and a kind, generous, and caring person.
She was grateful for her many blessings, and was always charitable, both in spirit and in kind, toward those less fortunate than herself.
She always chose to dwell on the good, and maintain a positive attitude despite the challenges of an aging body and mind. Lois left a lasting impression on many, many, many people at all stages of her life, and her family's fond memories will be shared widely amongst young and old, family and friends.
Lois was truly loved and will be deeply missed, as she leaves a huge void with her passing. She is survived by her sister Elaine; her children Sharon (Todd), Susan (Murray), Bruce (Michele), and Judy (Eric); her grandchildren Kyla, Calen, Tori, Haley, Claire, and Jake; her great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews.
