Mary was born in Cardiff, Wales into a large extended family. She came to Canada in the late 1950's and stayed with her aunt in Montreal before moving west.
She was married to architect Leon Blumer in 1961 and moved to 琉璃神社 in 1964.
Mary was loyal to family and had compassion. She was involved with and worked to better the community. She had many interests, including the arts, playing bridge, conversation and conservation. She also worked as a secretary for the City of 琉璃神社 for years.
She was diagnosed with lung cancer in October of 2021. Mary is survived by husband Leon, son Paul (Terri) and daughter Louise as well as dear friends and relatives. She will be missed.
