In loving memory ~
It is with gentle solitude and sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Sander on Sunday, June 5th, 2022. Born in Vauxhall, Alberta on September 7th, 1933, Mary Sander passed away peacefully in Grand Forks, B.C. at the age of 88 years old. Left to cherish Mary's memories is her loving family: two daughters, Terry Ann Webster (David) and Dona Trask (Bill), and her three beloved grandchildren, Jakob Webster, Annika Trask, and Melanie Webster. She is also survived by her sisters: Cecile Bulva, Margaret Ingalls, and Jean Lorenson, as well as her brother Vince Spilak and families. Mary was predeceased by her parents Anna and John Spilak of Calgary, Alberta, her brother Larry Spilak, and her husband Edward Sander.
Mary left Vauxhall, Alberta to pursue a career in nursing at St. Michaels in Lethbridge, Alberta and proceeded to practice all over Canada. She spent many years in 琉璃神社, where she worked in her profession and then retired and moved to Grand Forks, B.C.
