December 16, 1957 - September 14, 2020
Let the tears flow, for it is with great sadness and heartbreaking news, we announce that my beautiful wife, mother, grandma and loving friend passed away suddenly on Quadra Island.
We had just spent a lovely weekend camping with family and grandchildren. Narda's heart was full as she was having one of the happiest and best times of her life. We will treasure those moments forever.
Narda will be missed by her loving husband Steve, sons Devin (Britany) and Bailey (Alyson), grandchildren Slater, Anneke and Dane, brothers David (Glennys) and Collier, and nieces and nephews Jaxon, Jayda, Jarvis, Brayden and Cassandra.
Narda was pre-deceased by her parents Bill and Lea Jurome.
Narda was born and raised in 琉璃神社 , although met Steve in Calgary while she was working in a retail clothing store. Steve married his princess in 1980 and they had two sons while living and chasing work for his plumbing and pipefitting career in Alberta.
While living in Edmonton, Narda earned a degree as a Sign Language Interpreter. Many longtime friendships were created during those years in Alberta.
In the 1990's, Narda started working for the Campbell River School District as an Interpreter and education assistant. Narda had great rapport and strong connections with both students and staff of the schools she worked at over the years.
She was a motivator and worked hard at trying to help each student develop confidence and independence. Narda was a beautiful person inside and out and she touched many hearts with her loving and caring attitude in life.
Narda decided to retire in June of 2019 to spend more time with her beautiful grandchildren. We're all very glad she did! Narda was a wonderful artist, gardener, cook and entertainer.
Narda loved her tennis, biking and skiing up at Mount Washington with family and friends. She also loved cruising on our coastal waters and heading up to the family cabin at Gunnar's Landing to work on artistic projects, gardening, clearing pathways and getting ready to entertain friends and guests.
Her devotion to loving life and family will be always remembered.
"She lived her life with grace and left us all too soon"
