In loving memory~

Mom passed away peacefully at the age of 95, on her mother's birthday. Mom was born in Schiedam, The Netherlands and was from a large family of five brothers and two sisters. She met our dad in Holland and after WW II they decided to immigrate to Canada. She followed our dad to Canada in 1959.

Helen and Ferdinand were married in Edmonton and had four children. They moved to Trail and then to 琉璃神社 in 1969. Mom's greatest joy was looking after her children. She was a wonderful, loving, kind, caring soul. We were so lucky to have her as our mother.

Helen is survived by her children; Fred, Joanne (Dave), Henry and Richard, her grandson Jordan, her sister Annie, and many relatives in Holland.

She was predeceased by her husband Ferdinand 'Fred' Zoun in 1998, both of her parents, her five brothers and one sister.

Mom spent the last five years at Poplar Ridge in Trail, BC. We would like to thank all the staff for taking such excellent care of mom. Thank you!

It is comforting to know that she is reunited with her husband, parents and siblings.

We will miss you mom.

Today I looked up at the sky

and it was beautiful.

I know it was beautiful

because you are there....

flying with the angels.
