January 2, 1955 - April 21, 2021
It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of our dear husband, father and brother, William Carlton (Carl) McIntyre.
Carl is survived by his wife Lynda Dawes of Prince Rupert, daughter Ashley Dunbar (Alex) of 琉璃神社, stepsons Jeff and Mike Williams of Vanderhoof, stepdaughter Monica Williams of Kamloops, sister Debbie Rempel (Jim) of West 琉璃神社, brother Allan (Tracey) McIntyre of Prince George, and many other family members.
Born and raised in Prince Rupert BC, Carl was part of the Auxiliary Police and worked for Transport Canada before moving to 琉璃神社 in the 1980s where he worked as a security guard and was an active member of the Rutland Kinsman. He moved back north in the 2000s and enjoyed driving truck all over northern BC.
A caring heart, Carl was always there to lend a helping hand, whether it be a project in the works or an ear to listen.
He was a jokester with a hearty laugh. Hearing it you knew you had just witnessed one of his jokes or were on the receiving end of one
Carl's family was everything to him, both past and present, most evident in later years when he took an interest in the family ancestry and travelled to Scotland.
He loved his animals, especially dogs. His silver lab Dexter will miss him dearly.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or North Coast Health Improvement Society.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date
