To the editor:
Heritage, parks and greenery preservation and art make provincial capitals desirable places to visit and live.
Reading letters/opinions in the Capital News over the past few years, it sounds like our city is not asking or listening to the people.
As it’s been shown that social media ‘likes’, tick boxes, etc. provide misleading results for a variety of reasons, maybe it’s time to ‘bring back’ some form of citizen committee approval process for development and respect for the deliberations of resident associations.
Realistic parameters such as time frames for input could be established to avoid the excuse that they discourage development.
ÁðÁ§ÉñÉç still has a chance to preserve, enhance and capitalize on its historical and natural amenities to grow into an attractive place to live and do business.
