To the editor:
I agree with the letter from Yvonne Callihan in the May 4 edition (Keep Opinions Off Billboards) regarding how inappropriate the Right to Life billboard is.
How much did that advertising cost? Wouldn't that money be better spent perhaps feeding local people who are already living? Or a ton of other productive ways.
It seems these people are more pro birth than life. What about donating some of the money and time helping seniors with medicine and food, since they also decry their right to die with dignity.
Here's a proposal: Why don't the many churches with their many lovely green tax-free landscapes spend their time on turning the grass into gardens for the community? Show that you want people to have a quality of life instead of just making sure they're breathing?
