The mayor of Lake Country and former mayor of 琉璃神社 pen letter supporting Norm Letnick

B.C. will elect a new government on May 9.

To the editor:

We have known Norm Letnick for almost two decades, and we want the people of 琉璃神社-Lake Country who don鈥檛 know him personally to understand the kind of man Norm is.

Norm always follows his conscience and his beliefs, and will side with his constituents. In fact he is one of a few MLAs in BC history who has voted against his own party in order to represent the people in his riding.

Norm works incredibly hard to ensure limited government resources go to good use right here at home. His government has helped build Lake Country into the livable, family-oriented community it has become today, including getting the new highway to Oyama built, securing $7.2 million to help purchase the Rails to Trails project, and supporting the development and expansion of the UBCO campus.

In 琉璃神社, Norm has committed to continuing to work with the city to extend the Clement Rd. expressway from Gordon Dr. to Hwy 33, thus connecting Rutland, Dilworth, and Glenmore to downtown in a seamless network that provides an alternative to Highway 97.

Norm is a man of integrity. He鈥檚 honest. And he doesn鈥檛 compromise on what he believes is right.

We support Norm Letnick鈥檚 re-election in 琉璃神社-Lake Country on May 9, and we hope you will too.

James Baker, Lake Country Mayor

Walter Gray, Former 琉璃神社 Mayor
