The ÁðÁ§ÉñÉç Falcons were winners Sunday night in Cowlitz.

It took 11 innings but the Falcons finally snapped their West Coast League losing streak with a 3-2 victory over the Black Bears in Cowlitz on Sunday.

Brendt Citta smacked a two-out single in the top off the 11th to score Cameron Sterne with the game winning run as the Falcons ended a four-game slide and pushed their second half record to 1-4. For Citta, it was his 10th RBI of the summer.

The Falcons scored first and last on Sunday with a pair of runs in the top of the first inning. Lane Lacrone led the game off with a double, then scored on a balk call, before Max Carter drove in Bowen Ogata.

After the first inning, the Falcons bats were held in check by the Black Bears pitching staff.  In all the offence scattered 10 hits.

Starter Jake Simmons was masterful on the bump, throwing nine innings allowing two runs on nine hits and walked two.  He left with a no decision.

The bullpen was outstanding as well no allowing a hit. Jared Morton recorded the win throwing a perfect 11th inning.

The Falcons (14-18) and Black Bears will play for the final time this summer on Monday in the series rubber match.

On Tuesday the Falcons start a three-game series in Kitsap against the Bluejackets.
