Connor Joe is getting the chance to play for his hometown team.

On Friday, Feb. 7, the former 琉璃神社 Falcon signed a one-year deal with his hometown San Diego Padres. 

In 2024, the utility player .228 with nine home runs and 36 RBIs for the Pittsburgh Pirates, who non-tendered him on Nov. 23, 2024, making him a free agent.

Over five seasons with San Francisco, Colorado, and Pittsburgh, the San Diego native has hit .242 (333/1375) with 82 doubles, nine triples, 35 home runs and 141 RBIs. 

Joe played for 琉璃神社 in 2011.
