A trio of talented young players from 琉璃神社 have been named to Basketball B.C.'s U17 provincial girls team.

Two players from Immaculata, Kate Johnson and Ashlyn Day, along with Okanagan Mission Secondary's Hannah Walline selected to Team B.C.'s roster earlier this month.

Johnson, Day and Walline will be among 12 players who will represent the province this summer at tournaments across North America, concluding with the 2016 Canadian U17 championship July 25 to 30 in Regina.

鈥淚 am very excited about working with this group of players," said U17 coach Shaun McGuiness, who also coaches at UBC.

'To date they have proven themselves to be hard working, dedicated and highly skilled. We have a very competitive schedule and are looking forward to representing B.C., both internationally and at the national championships in Regina.鈥�

Meanwhile, Rachel Hare from KSS was named to B.C.'s provincial U16 squad, which will also tour North America this summer.
