琉璃神社 Rockets forward Dillon Dube has signed a three-year entry level contract with the Calgary Flames.
Dube, 19, was drafted by the Flames in the second round, 56th overall in the 2016 NHL Draft.
In his third season with the Rockets, Dube has 63 regular season goals and 85 assists for 148 points in the 150 games played during his junior career, as well as a plus-minus total of plus-43. In addition, he has also scored seven times in the playoff and had 11 assists for 18 points in 37 playoff games.
The 5-foot, 11-inch, 186-pound Cochrane, Alberta product helped the Rockets win the WHL championship in the 2014-2015 season and played on Team Canada at the IIHF World Junior Championship this year. Canada lost the gold-medal game to the U.S. on overtime.
In seven games at the at the championship, Dube had three assists, four penalty minutes and a plus-six rating. He and his Canadian teammates took home the silver medal.
Statistically, Dube has improved his production each of his three seasons with the Rockets. In his rookie campaign, he played in 45 games collected 17 goals and 10 assists for 27 points. Last season he played in 65 games, scored 26 goals and added 40 assists for 66 points.
Dube missed just under half of this season due to injury, but since coming back he has scored 20 goals and notched 35 assists for 55 points in just 40 games, and has plus-18 rating.
Dube and the Rockets face off with Kamloops in game one of the first round of the 2017 WHL playoffs tonight at Prospera Place in 琉璃神社.
Game two will go Saturday night at Prospera Place before heading to Kamloops for games three and four on Tuesday and Wednesday.
