The Okanagan Rockets will host the North Island Silvertips for two games this weekend.

Chase Stevenson made an auspicious return to the Okanagan Rockets' lineup.

The 17-year-old forward, back from injury, scored his first three goals of the season to boost the Rockets to a two-game sweep of the Kootenay Ice over the weekend in Trail.

(7-1-0) have now won six straight games.

Stevenson scored a pair of goals in a 6-2 victory over the Ice on Saturday. Dylan Prpich, Ryman Bassi, Brandon Della Paolera and Tanner Bahm also tallied for Okanagan.

On Sunday, the Rockets drubbed the Ice 6-1. Stevenson, Prpich, Wyatt Head, Mitchell Gove, Max Kryski and Coleton Bilodeau provided the scoring.

Nik Bregeda and Owen Partrick each picked up a win in the Rockets net.

The Rockets were without one of their top forwards, Eli Zummack, who is at the World Under 17 Challenge in Sault Ste. Marie, ON. Zummack is a member of Team Canada black.

He'll also be absent from the lineup this weekend when the Rockets return to home ice against the North Island Silvertips (2-8-0).

The teams will meet on Saturday at 3 p.m. and Sunday at 10 a.m. at CNC.
