The 琉璃神社 Sun Devils enjoyed their most productive weekend of the 2016 season, with a sweep of four games at home in B.C. 18U AAA baseball action.

The Sun Devils, who have now win five straight games, took a pair of games from Cowichan Valley on Saturday at Edith Gay Park, followed by a sweep of Nanaimo on Sunday.

Noah Ringness-Law continued his torrid pace at the plate, going 13-for-15 with five doubles, two home runs, eight RBIS and four stolen bases. He's now hitting .594 for the season.

Jackson Sowerby had a grand slam and seven RBIs over the four games.

Staff ace Gavin Barrett opened the weekend with another gem, allowing just three hits and one earned run in a 5-2 win over Cowichan.

Barrett is now 8-0 with a 0.83 ERA. Zane Webber had three RBIs.

In Game 2, Jon McCarthy went 3-for-3 with two doubles, while Ringness-Law had three hits, including a three-run home run as the Devils won over Cowichan 9-6.

Jay Taylor went seven innings on the mound for his third victory.

On Sunday, history was made as two female pitchers met for the first time in a B.C. U18 AAA game.

琉璃神社's Kensi Renneberg outduelled Nanaimo's B. Wong, going 5 1/3 inning for her third win of the season as the Sun Devils won 5-2. Sowerby pitched 1 1/3 innings in relief to pick up the save.

Noah Ringness-Law went 3-for-3 at the plate with another home run and two steals.

In the series finale, Ringness-Law was at it again with four hits and three RBIs in a 16-5 win over Nanaimo. Sowerby hit a grand slam,  while Jordan Laidlaw spun a complete game for his third wi.

The Sun Devils (16-12) will now break from league play for a couple of weeks, before returning to action July 2 in Victoria.

"We are starting to gel, they have become a family in such a short time," head coach Rob Law said of the Sun Devils. "They all have each others back and their confidence is only getting stronger. We still have a way to go defensively, but boy are they fun to watch."

In other Sun Devils news, Nathan Ringness-Law (starting pitcher/centre fielder) will be representing the Thompson-Okanagan in baseball at the B.C. Summer Games in Abbotsford.

Nathan follows in the footsteps of brother Noah, who represented the region at the Summer Games in 2014.
