United sends 11 teams to provincials

The 琉璃神社 United U18 boys won the TOYSL playoff title Sunday in Penticton.

琉璃神社's rep soccer program will be well represented next month at the Provincial B Cup in both boys and girls competition.

Eleven 琉璃神社 United teams have qualified for their respective provincial championships in West Vancouver (boys) and Penticton (girls).

United teams earned spots at the B Cup thanks to their performances last weekend at the Thompson Okanagan Youth Soccer League finals in Penticton.

琉璃神社 teams advancing, with coaches listed, are:

U13 boys鈥擩ason Neale

U14 boys鈥擟am West

U16 boys鈥擠an Turner

U17 boys鈥擠avid Lommer

U18 boys鈥擸ann Calmets

U13 girls鈥擩ill Lommer and Hank van de Leest

U14 girls鈥擬ike Smith

U15 girls鈥擳om Crawford

U16 girls鈥擟hris Vandemark

U18 girls鈥擬ark Slade

The Provincial B Cup boys finals will be held July 7 to 10 in West Vancouver, while the girls playdowns will be held the same weekend in Penticton.
