At just 15 years old, Mathis Paull is making waves on the national hockey scene.
Vernon's Paull recently wrapped up play at the 2024 WHL Cup, where Team B.C. finished fourth.
The WHL Cup is a competition between players under the age of 16, who are expected to be selected by teams in WHL.
Paull was selected by the Regina Pats with the 48th pick in the 2024 WHL Prospects Draft. He is playing in his second season with the Rink Hockey Academy in 琉璃神社.
Last season, on the U15 team, Paull scored 34 points in 27 games. So far this year, playing up to the U18 level, Paull has scored nine points in six games.
The six-foot-two, 185-pound forward will play for the Pats next season.
At the WHL Cup, Paull finished with four assists in five games. In the bronze medal match, where team B.C. lost to Saskatchewan 8-5, Paull registered three assists, which won him player of the game honours.
