Vernon鈥檚 Rosters Sports Club head racquetball coach has been provincially recognized.
Bob Wolf was selected by the president of Racquetball B.C. to receive the Sport B.C. Presidents Award, the highest sport volunteer recognition in the province.
鈥淵our dedication and commitment to promoting racquetball in our community has not gone unnoticed,鈥 Rosters Sports Club said in a social media post. 鈥淵our passion for the sport shines through, and all of us at The Roster are beyond grateful for all the hard work you鈥檝e put in. Thank you for being an inspiration to us all!鈥
Wolf has been involved in the Vernon racquetball community for over 35 years, while advocating for the growth of the sport. He has organized and campaigned for numerous youth, adult and senior programs, including the growth of local tournaments that attract players from across the country.
The Sport B.C.鈥檚 annual Presidents Awards have been given out since 1994 and help to promote and celebrate the spirit of volunteerism. Member organizations get the chance to acknowledge and thank an individual who has demonstrated outstanding dedication and commitment to their sport.
Another Vernonite, Graham Cooper, was given the presidents award from Tennis B.C.
The awards will be presented in a ceremony at the Fairmont Hotel in Vancouver on Thursday, March 7.
