The Okanagan Coyotes won three of four games in Kamloops to move into second place in the Canadian College Baseball Conference.

It was the Liam Wyatt show as the Okanagan College Coyotes wrapped up a weekend of Canadian College Baseball Conference action with a shutout win over the Vancouver Island Mariners Sunday in Kamloops.

Hitting in the DH position, Wyatt drove in an eye-popping seven runs as OC downed VIBI by a 10-0 score.

Over four games on the weekend, Wyatt had eight hits and 10 RBIs.

"Liam had a great weekend with some big hits and played solid defense," said Coyotes head coach Geoff White. "To go 8-16 with four extra base hits and 10 RBI is a special weekend.

"One of the reasons is his approach at the plate is consistent and makes solid contact more often than not. When you also combine that with some strength good things will happen."

Wyatt had two doubles and went 3-for-3 to go with the seven RBIs in the weekend finale, as the 'Yotes won three of four games at Norbrock Stadium. Brett Flemming tossed a five-hit shutout for OC.

On Saturday, the Coyotes' lone loss of the weekend was a 3-2 setback to the Thompson Rivers Wolfpack.

OC then bounced back with a 13-3 win over TRU. Davis Todosichuk had four hits and two RBIs, Logan Wedgewood had three hits and three RBIs, while Jared Dulaba drove in three runs. Cole Parussini went five innings for his second win.

In Sunday morning's first game, Braden Heyland had two hits and three RBIs in a 12-8 Coyotes win.

Mitchell St. Laurent pitched six innings for his second win of the spring.

The Coyotes (11-9) now sit in second spot in the CCBC, four games back of the first place PBA Dawgs.

This weekend, OC will be in Calgary for two games against the Dinos and two against TRU.
