PHOTOS: Northern Lights shine in 琉璃神社 on Monday night

The dark night sky lit up with bright colours on Monday as the Northern Lights were on display across the Central Okanagan.

Green, pink, and purple colours streaked across the sky at about 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 7, as multiple people posted photos to social media.

The conditions cause the Aurora Borealis to peak close to the spring and fall equinox, so Okanagan residents who missed the display still have time to see the equinox before the skies settle down for the winter.
