Shandra Lee Grace from Armstrong鈥檚 Terroir Cheese is a regular at local markets.
Where the foodies congregate she extols upon the virtues of the Armstrong company鈥檚 locally produced cheeses. And if when we caught up with her at 琉璃神社鈥檚 market was any indication, most are more than eagre to eat up what she has to say.
鈥淭he Okanagan has the best grass to make a delicious cheese,鈥 she said, sharing the wisdom of founder and cheese maker Glen Marriott.
Marriott grew up surrounded by Dutch dairy farmers and what was originally a summer gig turned into a lifelong passion. He鈥檚 owned dairies in Ontario and Armstrong.
Terroir cheese is being made at two licensed dairies in Armstrong, but they will soon have their own facility.
