琉璃神社's Delta Hotel by Marriott Grand served up ice cream floats in support of the Children's Miracle Network on Aug. 6.
Since 1983, Marriott has been helping raise funds for CMN with Root Beer Float Day.
Families were able to enjoy a root beer or orange crush float purchased by donation all while enjoying a swim, outdoor games, or a bite to eat from Quench Pool Bar.
Delta's director of operations Regine Brucks said they decided to open up the event a little more by bringing it next to the pool instead of serving out in the lobby.
"Marriott does it nationally, so everyone in Canada is doing it today or within this week," Brucks said.
Funds raised from the local event will go to the B.C. Children's Hospital.
"Our personal charity at the hotel, we pick [B.C. Children's Hospital] as our number one," Brucks commented, noting the Kicks for Kids fundraiser they do with staff and the annual Festival of Trees.
Floats were served poolside from 2 to 4 p.m.
