A well-known Canadian ‘dragon’ will be in next month for an inaugural Women in Business Conference.

Arlene Dickinson, a visionary entrepreneur, renowned venture capitalist, and one of CBC’s “Dragons,” will be a keynote speaker at the event alongside Tracy Medve the president and CEO of KF Aerospace, Shauna Harper, the CEO of WeBC, and Pardeep Khrod the associatevice President of development at BC Cancer Foundation.

Hosted by CFA Society Okanagan the conference will focus on workshops and panel discussions, including compensation negotiation strategies and accelerating personal performance.

The event will be capped off by moderator, Pamela Pearson, director of internal operations at Sentes Automotive and workshops will be facilitated by Joy Playford, president of Playford Performance Group Inc. and Jillian Climie the co-founder of The Thoughtful Co.

“Arlene Dickinson’s keynote will focus on reinvention and will look at the “why” and “how” of recreating oneself at any stage of their life from the perspective of one of Canada’s leading entrepreneurs and venture capitalists who has done just that,” said Kwame Boateng, president of the CFA Society Okanagan.

The event will take place on Oct.12, at the Laurel Packinghouse. For more information or tickets, visit: www.cfasociety.org/okanagan
